This paper describes a novel generic process for evaluating the mappings' confidence value. This process uses rules extracted through inductive machine learning methods from the matching results proposed by others. Further, the precision and recall of the extracted rules are exploited in order to transform each rule into a mathematical formula that generates the mappings' confidence value. Mappings are then classified not as valid or invalid but through a quantitative confidence value that can be easily managed during the alignment process.}, keywords = {2007 alignment confidence iswc ontology value workshop_om } } @article{Bettencourt, title = {The Impact of Article Method Type and Subject Area on Article Citations and Reference Diversity in JM, JMR, and JCR}, author = {Lance A. We combine a content analysis of a sample of 561 JM, JMR, and JCR articles with a citation analysis and reference analysis of those same articles to investigate the impact of article method type and subject area on article citation rates and reference diversity. Our results reveal that verbal-theory and field study papers are both more likely to be cited and more likely to draw from a wide variety of journal and disciplinary reference sources. The results also reveal that services/customer satisfaction and general theory and philosophy of science articles are generally more likely to be cited than other subject areas, although services/customer satisfaction articles are also less likely to rely on a diverse set of references.}, keywords = {vorhanden wirtschaftswissenschaften zitationsanalyse } } @inproceedings{conf/dcoss/BettencourtHL07, title = {Separating the Wheat from the Chaff: Practical Anomaly Detection Schemes in Ecological Applications of Distributed Sensor Networks.}, author = {Luís M. However the relentless rise of automatic unauthorized emails, a.k.a. spam is eroding away much of the attractiveness of email communication. Most of the attention dedicated to date to spam detection has focused on the content of the emails or on the addresses or domains associated with spam senders. Although methods based on these - easily changeable - identifiers work reasonably well they miss on the fundamental nature of spam as an opportunistic relationship, very different from the normal mutual relations between senders and recipients of legitimate email. Here we present a comprehensive graph theoretical analysis of email traffic that captures these properties quantitatively. We identify several simple metrics that serve both to distinguish between spam and legitimate email and to provide a statistical basis for models of spam traffic.}, keywords = {email graph network spam } } @inproceedings{conf/icwe/CruzRW03, title = {Retrofitting Security into a Web-Based Information System.}, author = {David Bettencourt da Cruz and Bernhard Rumpe and Guido Wimmel}, booktitle = {ICWE}, crossref = {conf/icwe/2003}, editor = {Juan Manuel Cueva Lovelle and Bernardo Martín González Rodríguez and Luis Joyanes Aguilar and José Emilio Labra Gayo and María del Puerto Paule Ruíz}, pages = {301-305}, publisher = {Springer}, series = {Lecture Notes in Computer Science}, url = {http://dblp.uni-trier.de/db/conf/icwe/icwe2003.html#CruzRW03}, volume = {2722}, year = {2003}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/265ea5c16624fd1d2d86bdcf220e9038f/dblp}, description = {dblp}, ee = {http://springerlink.metapress.com/openurl.asp?genre=article&issn=0302-9743&volume=2722&spage=301}, isbn = {3-540-40522-4}, date = {2003-10-09}, keywords = {dblp } } @inproceedings{conf/hpdc/Bettencourt02, title = {Distributed Model Coupling Framework.}, author = {Matthew T.
