@article{Sorenson2009, abstract = { X-ray diffraction measurements show that saturation loadings of C5−C13 n-alkanes at room temperature increased the unit cell size of silicalite-1 crystals, and the percent volume expansion correlated linearly with the number of carbon atoms per unit cell. Adsorption of tridecane expanded the zeolite the most (1.53 vol %), but all n-alkanes and alcohols studied expanded MFI crystals. Pervaporation fluxes of isooctane through defects in B-ZSM-5 membranes at 313 K decreased 2 orders of magnitude when n-alkanes were added to the feed, and the percentage decrease correlated with crystal expansion; n-alkanes that expanded crystals more caused the flux through defects to decrease more. }, added-at = {2010-08-19T14:27:08.000+0200}, author = {Sorenson, Stephanie G. and Smyth, Joseph R. and Noble, Richard D. and Falconer, John L.}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2d4a72aa1df9fe13a4bf22368dccdcf99/pmd}, description = {Correlation of Crystal Lattice Expansion and Membrane Properties for MFI Zeolites - Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research (ACS Publications)}, doi = {10.1021/ie901073g}, eprint = {http://pubs.acs.org/doi/pdf/10.1021/ie901073g}, file = {Sorenson2009.pdf:Sorenson2009.pdf:PDF}, groups = {public}, interhash = {220a6e478f9531529968a1102f0a1a97}, intrahash = {d4a72aa1df9fe13a4bf22368dccdcf99}, journal = {Industrial \& Engineering Chemistry Research}, keywords = {lattice_expansion zeolith}, number = 22, pages = {10021-10024}, timestamp = {2010-08-19T14:27:08.000+0200}, title = {Correlation of Crystal Lattice Expansion and Membrane Properties for MFI Zeolites}, url = {http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/ie901073g}, username = {pmd}, volume = 48, year = 2009 }
