During our recent investigation into these types of systems, we discovered a simple but remarkably effective algorithm for converting a large corpus of tags annotating objects in a tagging system into a navigable hierarchical taxonomy of tags. We first discuss the algorithm and then present a preliminary model to explain why it is so effective in these types of systems.}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/23b4ce6fd7fa6dbf1c39fd261fa39fcd6/cschenk}, keywords = {clustering collaborative communal connotea del.icio.us flickr folksonomy hierarchical paper read:2008 tagging taxonomy}, citeulike-article-id = {739394}, priority = {3}} @article{golder2005, title = {The Structure of Collaborative Tagging Systems}, author = {Scott Golder and Bernardo A. Recently, collaborative tagging has grown in popularity on the web, on sites that allow users to tag bookmarks, photographs and other content. In this paper we analyze the structure of collaborative tagging systems as well as their dynamical aspects. Specifically, we discovered regularities in user activity, tag frequencies, kinds of tags used, bursts of popularity in bookmarking and a remarkable stability in the relative proportions of tags within a given url. We also present a dynamical model of collaborative tagging that predicts these stable patterns and relates them to imitation and shared knowledge.}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/28262594e232f91ddf37bc0c6a5aebcae/cschenk}, keywords = {collaborative data del.icio.us folksonomy hierarchy kind-of-tags paper read:2008 structure tagging}, } @article{tagrecomfolk, title = {Tag Recommendations in Folksonomies}, author = {Robert Jäschke and Leandro Marinho and Andreas Hotho and Lars Schmidt-Thieme and Gerd Stumme}, year = 2007, url = {http://www.kde.cs.uni-kassel.de/hotho/pub/2007/kdml_recommender_final.pdf}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/23c020018c584207119ec24cc78972236/cschenk}, keywords = {bibsonomy del.icio.us folkrank folksonomy kassel last.fm nepomuk paper read:2008 recommendation tagging tagora uni}, isbn = {978-3-86010-907-6}, vgwort = {14}} @inproceedings{anti2008krause, title = {The Anti-Social Tagger - Detecting Spam in Social Bookmarking Systems}, author = {Beate Krause and Andreas Hotho and Gerd Stumme}, booktitle = {Proc. of the Fourth International Workshop on Adversarial Information Retrieval on the Web}, year = 2008, url = {http://airweb.cse.lehigh.edu/2008/submissions/krause_2008_anti_social_tagger.pdf}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/203d349d70b578ca9ac3155f661151868/cschenk}, keywords = {anti bibsonomy folksonomy paper read:2008 spam}, } @article{Regulski2007, title = {Aufwand und Nutzen beim Einsatz von Social-Bookmarking-Services als Nachweisinstrument für wissenschaftliche Forschungsartikel am Beispiel von BibSonomy}, author = {Karin Regulski}, journal = {Bibliothek.
