Document content is designed for humans and organized with regard to communicational purposes for organizational work. In addition, content organization within documents is affected by the requirements of multichannel publishing and layout design for content presentation. Efficient content reuse in organizational documents requires that the ways the content is created and stored within and across documents and other content resources, such as databases, should be identified. XML provides technological means for document content reuse. The designers of XML document production need to be aware of the requirements for content reuse in order to facilitate reuse across XML documents and other content sources. This paper describes the content reuse identified in two e-government cases and proposes a classification of document content reuse types. The impacts for XML schema and document production design are also discussed.}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2fcb0a6cc58dce72377bebce5bfad90f6/msn}, keywords = {research.publishing research.xml} } @incollection{woods75link, title = {What's in a Link: Foundations for Semantic Networks}, author = {William A. It has been developed and refined over a long period and has been used in both basic research and implemented knowledge-based systems in a number of places in the AI community. Here we present the kernel ideas of KL-ONE, emphasizing its ability to form complex structured descriptions. In addition to detailing all of KL-ONE's description-forming structures, we discuss a bit of the philosophy underlying the system, highlight notions of taxonomy and classification that are central to it, and include an extended example of the use of KL-ONE and its classifier in a recognition task. Compared to a "linear" representation such as that of the Predicate Calculus however, semantic networks present special problems with respect to the use of logical connectives, quantifiers, descriptions, and certain other constructions. Systematic solutions to these problems will be proposed, in the form of extensions to a more or less conventional network notation. Several arguments have been made that frame representation languages and semantic-network languages are syntactic variants of the first-order predicate calculus (FOPC). The typical argument proceeds by showing how any given frame or network representation can be mapped to a logically isomorphic FOPC representation. For the past two years we have been studying the formalization of knowledge retrievers as well as the representation languages that they operate on. This paper presents a representation language in the notation of FOPC whose form facilitates the design of a semantic-network-like retriever.}, biburl = {http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/274ba51c56bfb95f43eabc4937852518f/msn}, keywords = {research.kr research.conceptual.graphs} } @article{sowa80networks, title = {Review of "Associative networks: representation and use of knowledge by computers" by Nicholas V.
