Abstract

ACODEV’s efforts to meeting reproductive health needs for children and young adolescents successfully emerged from various plans of key interventions. It has also been well known that SRH challenges are exacerbated by the lack of reliable information on sexual and reproductive rights as codified by international law. Secondly, the sociocultural and political contexts are not conducive for young people, especially girls, to claim their sexual and reproductive rights, nor have they built skills to be able to do so; hence the need to strengthen and mainstream SRH programing into various sectors both public and private respectively. As a result, ACODEV’s Sexual Reproductive Health programming have strengthened the referral system to support access to appropriate health care services of sexual, reproductive medicine and implementation of health education programs to stress the importance of women to move safely during: (1.pregnancy and (2 childbirth; this is increasingly providing couples with the best chance of having a healthy infant.
