Smart Classroom Design and Its Application in E-learning
G. Chen, R. Shen, and Y. Zhang. 6th Annual International Conference on Computer Science & Information Systems, (2010)
Abstract
This paper presents a smart classroom design and its application in e-learning. This work includes four contributions. One is the proposition of an automatic teacher tracking system which enables teachers to walk freely as they do in traditional classes. The second one is the proposition of an improved laser pen which enables teachers to write on PPTs. The third one is the proposition of an attention detection system which gives teachers feedback of remote students and alerts those who are not focused. The last one is the proposition of a short message based feedback system by which students can give teachers feedback in real time.
