Abstract

The article explores the essential components of information literacy. The author reflects on the upcoming revision of the Association of College and Research Libraries' (ACRL) Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. The revision is expected to cover the skills inherent to personal information management and content creation. She identifies affective learning and personal information management as the guiding tenets of her work with students.
