This talk highlights three essential ingredients of dynamic networking: Firstly, network planning creates the required degrees of freedom in the data plane for a dynamic control plane. Secondly, service provisioning and restoration provide the required agility for dynamic network operation, no matter if implemented on the management or on a control plane. Eventually, service management ensures adequate service performance across all involved network domains. We conclude that all of these aspects need to be addressed adequately in order to realize dynamic networking.
