We collected 702 papers published between 2003-2009 mentioning Formal Concept Analysis in the abstract. We developed a knowledge browsing environment to support our literature analysis process. The pdf-files containing the papers were converted to plain text and indexed by Lucene using a thesaurus containing terms related to FCA research. We use the visualization capabilities of FCA to explore the literature, to discover and conceptually represent the main research topics in the FCA community. As a case study, we zoom in on the 140 papers on using FCA in knowledge discovery and data mining and give an extensive overview of the contents of this literature.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="978-3-642-14196-6" swrc:key="isbn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="10.1007/978-3-642-14197-3_15" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Jonas Poelmans"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Paul Elzinga"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Stijn Viaene"/></rdf:_3><rdf:_4><swrc:Person swrc:name="Guido Dedene"/></rdf:_4></rdf:Seq></swrc:author><swrc:editor><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Madalina Croitoru"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Sébastien Ferré"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Dickson Lukose"/></rdf:_3></rdf:Seq></swrc:editor></rdf:Description></burst:publication>

Knowledge Discovery in Databases: Techniken und Anwendungen

<dc:subject>2011 association bible classification clustering database discovery kde knowledge rules seminar twitter </dc:subject>
<span class="authorEditorList"><a href="/author/Ester">Martin Ester</a>, and <a href="/author/Sander">Jörg Sander</a> This study establishes a systematic product design model by adopting some major tools from AD and TRIZ such as functional requirements, design parameters, design matrix, contradiction matrix and inventive principles. Furthermore, the proposed model's efficiency is analyzed and evaluated by a case study of a Handheld GPS product. Results indicate that the design model which combines with two theories can find out the usability problems and solutions efficiently. When applying the proposed model on product redesign or new product development may avoid the cost waste and increase the design efficiency and usability during the product design and development processes. Formalizing the inventive design process based on ontologies is a good approach, and using the matching approaches available to solve the specific matching problems in inventive design ontologies is worth to be examined. In fact, there are different knowledge sources used for solving inventive design problems. These sources are about similar notions, but the level of detail of their description is very different. We are interested in the formalisation of these knowledge sources (for the moment described in natural language) and to make the whole body complete and coherent. It is needed, therefore, to make the links among them explicit. It is a typical problem of ontology matching. This article presents a survey of the possible ontology matching approaches for the specific characteristics of this problem. Therefore, it's an important issue for the industrial circles to break the patent barriers. Design around patents is an effective method to avoid the patent infringement, which is in connection with the competitor's patented product or technology. This paper presents an innovative design process which can combine the strategy and the requirement analysis. In order to reduce the design cost, shorten the development cycle and lower the risk of patent infringement, we try a systematic way which blends the needs analysis into the law of patent infringement, in using the TRIZ theory; we can achieve the original design to aim at the method and patented technology. Finally, we take the avoid powder washing machine for example to express the process of design around. On the Web, many sites distribute and present information in real-time streams. In many of these application areas, the ability to perform complex reasoning tasks that combine streaming data with evolving knowledge would be of great benefit. In order to exploit the organisational knowledge capital in collaborative decision-making settings, we propose a generic ontology model that has been defined with the use of {XML} technologies, as it attempts to chieve maximun interoperability and reuse. In this paper we present the structure and the main features of th proposed ontology model, and we describe its application through a case concerning manufacturing management.</swrc:abstract><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Christina E. The proposed model interweaves concepts from the Knowledge Management, Argumentation Theory, Decision Making, and Multicriteria Decision Aid disciplines. Through the case of manufacturing management, it is shown that {KAD} can be easily expanded in order to apply to any particular knowledge domain, after the proper definition of the relevant semantics.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="http://inderscience.metapress.com/openurl.asp?genre=article\&eissn=1741-1017\&volume=1\&issue=1\&spage=130" swrc:key="issn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="http://dx.doi.org/10.1504/IJKL.2005.006255" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Christina E.
