However, documents on the Web are largely disorganized. Due to the distributed nature of the World Wide Web it is difficult to use it as a tool for information and knowledge management. Therefore, users doing the difficult task of exploring the Web have to be supported by intelligent means. This paper proposes an approach for document discovery building on a comprehensive framework for ontology-focused crawling of Web documents. Our framework includes means for using a complex ontology and associated instance elements. It defines several relevance computation strategies and provides an empirical evaluation which has shown promising results.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="Melbourne, Florida" swrc:key="location"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="1-58113-624-2" swrc:key="isbn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/952532.952761" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Marc Ehrig"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Alexander Maedche"/></rdf:_2></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description></burst:publication>

Web Mining: From Web to Semantic Web

<dc:subject>semanticweb proj:gtf proj:bk mining datamining </dc:subject>
B. Berendt and A. Hotho and D. Mladenic and M. van Someren and M. Spiliopoulou and G. Stumme (2004)
<taxo:topics><rdf:Bag><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/semanticweb"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/proj:gtf"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/proj:bk"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/mining"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/datamining"/></rdf:Bag></taxo:topics><burst:publication><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2937aa34e1766c8eaf6acc065ae9d2c5c/wnpxrz"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/2937aa34e1766c8eaf6acc065ae9d2c5c/wnpxrz"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#Article"/><swrc:date>Wed Nov 21 16:09:52 CET 2007</swrc:date><swrc:title>Web Mining: From Web to Semantic Web</swrc:title><swrc:year>2004</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>semanticweb proj:gtf proj:bk mining datamining </swrc:keywords><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="B. The problem is important since online social networks are emerging as conduits for exchange of everyday experiences. Our collaborative annotation system provides personalized recommendations to each user, based on (a) media features, (b) context, (c) commonsensical relationships and (d) linguistic relationships. We also develop novel concept specificity and abstractness/concreteness measures that further adapt the recommendations to the specific concept. Our preliminary user studies indicate that the system performs well and is more useful as compared to standard Web browser recommendation schemes</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="0-7803-9331-7" swrc:key="isbn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="10.1109/ICME.2005.1521679" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="B.
