In such
systems users are setting up lightweight conceptual structures
called folksonomies. The reason for their immediate success is the
fact that no specific skills are needed for participating. In this
paper we specify a formal model for folksonomies, briefly describe
our own system BibSonomy,
which allows for sharing both bookmarks and
publication references,
and discuss first steps towards emergent semantics.</swrc:abstract><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Andreas Hotho"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Robert Jäschke"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Christoph Schmitz"/></rdf:_3><rdf:_4><swrc:Person swrc:name="Gerd Stumme"/></rdf:_4></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description></burst:publication>

Kollaboratives Wissensmanagement

<dc:subject>nepomuk p2p semantic management knowledge web folksonomy wissensmanagement collaborative-filtering </dc:subject>
Christoph Schmitz and Andreas Hotho and Robert Jäschke and Gerd Stumme page273-290. Springer, (2006)
<taxo:topics><rdf:Bag><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/nepomuk"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/p2p"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/semantic"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/management"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/knowledge"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/web"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/folksonomy"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/wissensmanagement"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/tag/collaborative-filtering"/></rdf:Bag></taxo:topics><burst:publication><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/253e13744981f2c04d9239e0cf9b4e689/grahl"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/253e13744981f2c04d9239e0cf9b4e689/grahl"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#InBook"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.kde.cs.uni-kassel.de/stumme/papers/2006/hotho2006kollaboratives.pdf"/><swrc:date>Fri Nov 17 08:46:17 CET 2006</swrc:date><swrc:booktitle>Semantic Web - Wege zur vernetzten Wissensgesellschaft</swrc:booktitle><swrc:pages>273-290</swrc:pages><swrc:publisher><swrc:Organization swrc:name="Springer"/></swrc:publisher><swrc:title>Kollaboratives Wissensmanagement</swrc:title><swrc:year>2006</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>nepomuk p2p semantic management knowledge web folksonomy wissensmanagement collaborative-filtering </swrc:keywords><swrc:abstract>Wissensmanagement in zentralisierten Wissensbasen erfordert

In such
systems users are setting up lightweight conceptual structures
called folksonomies. The reason for their immediate success is the
fact that no specific skills are needed for participating. At the
moment, however, the information retrieval support is limited. We
present a formal model and a new search algorithm for folksonomies,
called \emph{FolkRank}, that exploits the structure of the
folksonomy. The proposed algorithm is also applied to find
communities within the folksonomy and is used to structure search
results. It described the evolution of a Web that consisted largely of documents for humans to read to one that included data and information for computers to manipulate. The Semantic Web is a Web of actionable information—information derived from data through a semantic theory for interpreting the symbols. This simple idea, however, remains largely unrealized. Shopbots and auction bots abound on the Web, but these are essentially handcrafted for particular tasks; they have little ability to interact with heterogeneous data and information types. Because we haven't yet delivered large-scale, agent-based mediation, some commentators argue that the Semantic Web has failed to deliver. We argue that agents can only flourish when standards are well established and that the Web standards for expressing shared meaning have progressed steadily over the past five years. Furthermore, we see the use of ontologies in the e-science community presaging ultimate success for the Semantic Web—just as the use of HTTP within the CERN particle physics community led to the revolutionary success of the original Web.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="http://dsonline.computer.org/portal/site/dsonline/menuitem.9ed3d9924aeb0dcd82ccc6716bbe36ec/index.jsp?&pName=dso_level1&path=dsonline/2006/07&file=x3sem.xml&xsl=article.xsl&" swrc:key="ee"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Nigel Shadbolt"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Tim Berners-Lee"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Wendy Hall"/></rdf:_3></rdf:Seq></swrc:author><swrc:editor><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Steffen Staab"/></rdf:_1></rdf:Seq></swrc:editor></rdf:Description></burst:publication>
</rdf:RDF>
