Step 2: Browser Setup#
This page is part of the tutorial First Steps. You can choose to follow the tutorial or to read just this article. So as to post a bookmark or a publication, you can use the matching link in the menu bar, or you fit in the appropriate buttons into the bookmark-toolbar of your browser, so you can use the options more quickly and more comfortable. To do that, select the post bookmark-link or the post publication-link in the toolbar (in this illustration: post bookmark):![]() |
The accessed site contains the appropriate buttons for your bookmark-toolbar. To insert these into the toolbar, click on the required button, hold down the mouse key, move the mouse cursor to the bookmark-toolbar and release the mouse-key, to put it down (drag&drop):

Now there is a link of the required button in the bookmark-toolbar of your browser:

As of now, you can add a bookmark of a current site with just one mouse click to your library. You can do the same thing with the post publication-button. Also the links of the menu toolbar can be integrated into the bookmark-toolbar by dragging&dropping them (e.g. the myBibSonomy-link
, in order to get quick access to your own entered bookmarks and publications).
- Get more information about the buttons.
- You can find the buttons here
.
- You can find a multimedia tutorial about browser setup here.
- Please note that there is no bookmark-toolbar, if you get a new installation of the web-browser Google Chrome. With Google Chrome Help
you can find some information, how to work with the browser Google Chrome.
