First Steps - A Short Tutorial#
BibSonomy is a free service to manage bookmarks online and share them with the virtual community. You can also upload documents of your interest as PDF-file or information about publications in BibTeX-format in order to make them publicy available. You can "tag" your bookmarks or publications with key words concerning the content of the publication, so it can be found by using the search engine. BibSonomy offers a set of features which are not available in conventional reference management systems, for example sharing literature lists on the internet. All data is saved on our server, so it may be fetched from everywhere. The primal concept of BibSonomy is to extend the opportunities of scientific research and to improve the communication between researchers in general. In the following, you will learn the basics of using BibSonomy. Or alternatively, you may do one of our interactive tutorials.
