In such systems users are setting up lightweight conceptual structures called folksonomies. Unlike ontologies, shared conceptualizations are not formalized, but rather implicit. We present a new data mining task, the mining of all frequent tri-concepts, together with an efficient algorithm, for discovering these implicit shared conceptualizations. Our approach extends the data mining task of discovering all closed itemsets to three-dimensional data structures to allow for mining folksonomies. We provide a formal definition of the problem, and present an efficient algorithm for its solution. Finally, we show the applicability of our approach on three large real-world examples. %Z %U http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/B758F-4R53WD4-1/2/ae56bd6e7132074272ca2035be13781b %+ %^ %0 %0 Generic %A Karinthy, Frigyes %D 1929 %T Chain-Links %E %B %C %I %V %6 %N %P %& %Y %S %7 %8 %9 %? %! %Z %@ %( %) %* %L %M %1 %2 %3 misc %4 %# %$ %F karinthy1929chain %K graphtheory smallworld %X %Z %U %+ %^ %0 %0 Book %A Klein, Manfred; Schwemer-Scheddin, Yvonne & Spiekermann, Erik %D 1991 %T Typen und Typographen %E %B %C Kilchberg %I Edition Stemmle %V %6 %N %P %& %Y %S %7 %8 %9 %? %! %Z %@ %( %) %* %L %M %1 %2 %3 book %4 %# %$ %F keyhere %K typography %X %Z %U http://www.amazon.de/Typen-Typographen-Manfred-Klein/dp/3908162106/ref=sr_1_1/303-0079093-5599478?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1188806013&sr=8-1 %+ %^ %0 %0 Book %A Sauthoff, Daniel; Wendt, Gilmar & Willberg, Hans P. %D 2005 %T Schriften erkennen %E %B %C Mainz %I Schmidt (Hermann) %V %6 %N %P %& %Y %S %7 %8 %9 %? %! %Z %@ %( %) %* %L %M %1 %2 %3 book %4 %# %$ %F sauthoff2005schriften %K typography %X %Z %U http://www.amazon.de/Schriften-erkennen-Daniel-Sauthoff/dp/3874394182/ref=pd_bowtega_3/303-0079093-5599478?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1188806091&sr=1-3 %+ %^ %0 %0 Thesis %A Schmitz, Christoph %D 2007 %T Self-Organized Collaborative Knowledge Management %E %B %C %I Universität Kassel %V %6 %N %P %& %Y %S %7 %8 September %9 %? %! %Z %@ %( %) %* %L %M %1 %2 %3 phdthesis %4 %# %$ %F schmitz2007self %K 2007 analysis dissertation folksonomy knowledgemanagement myown network p2p peer2peer peertopeer selforganization sna %X %Z %U http://www.uni-kassel.de/hrz/db4/extern/dbupress/publik/abstract.php?978-3-89958-325-0 %+ %^ %0 %0 Conference Proceedings %A Schmitz, Christoph; Grahl, Miranda; Hotho, Andreas; Stumme, Gerd; Catutto, Ciro; Baldassarri, Andrea; Loreto, Vittorio & Servedio, Vito D. While tags in collaborative tagging systems serve primarily an indexing purpose, facilitating search and navigation of resources, the use of the same tags by more than one individual can yield a collective classification schema. We present an approach for making explicit the semantics behind the tag space in social tagging systems, so that this collaborative organization can emerge in the form of groups of concepts and partial ontologies. This is achieved by using a combination of shallow pre-processing strategies and statistical techniques together with knowledge provided by ontologies available on the semantic web. Preliminary results on the del.icio.us and Flickr tag sets show that the approach is very promising: it generates clusters with highly related tags corresponding to concepts in ontologies and meaningful relationships among subsets of these tags can be identified. %Z %U http://www.eswc2007.org/ %+ %^
