    Abstract: Der Autor beschreibt die neuen anforderungen, die sich aus dem Web 2.0 f�r die forschung ergeben. seiner Meinugn nach greifen die altbew�hrten forschungsmethoden 8die er als Science 1.0) bezeichnet zu kurz, wenn man kollaborative Prozesse im Internet verstehen will.

    Thesen:

    Das Verst�ndnis der Effekte von collaborativie-centered socio-technical systems, wie z.B. FlickR, Wikipedia, Youtube, wird dazu f�hren, dass man diese Systeme/Mechanismen auf andere Bereiche �bertragen und von ihren vorteilen profitieren kann.

    Um dieses Verst�ndnis zu erzielen, m�ssen kollaborative Prozesse untersucht werden. Daf�r reichen die traditionellen Methoden nicht mehr aus.

    Es m�ssen Leitlinien f�r die forschung Science 2.0 entwickelt werden, wie sie auch f�r traditionelle Forschungsmethoden bestehen.

    Laborstudien greifen bei der Untersuchung von Web 2.0 zu kurz, weil kontrollierte Studien "nicht den reichhaltigen Kontext von Web 2.0 Kollaboration erfassen/abdecken (do not capture the rich context of Web 2.0 collaboration), bei der die Interaction von Variablen die Validit�t reduktionistischer Modelle unterl�uft.
