(MSG): The Heliosat-3 Project</swrc:title><swrc:year>2002</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>UE calculation, irradiance irradiance, of project solar spatial structure </swrc:keywords><swrc:abstract>In the context of a safe and environment-friendly energy supply renewable
energy systems will be the energy source of the future. Wind energy
has become an important energy source in Europe (e.g. 15 % in Denmark)
with an impressive expansion rate. The usage of solar energy will
experience an enormous increase within the next 10 years as well.
For the optimal and efficient use of solar energy and its integration
into the electricity grid, accurate solar irradiance data in a high
spatial and temporal resolution are necessary. Solar irradiance schemes
provide these data based on weather satellites such as Meteosat or
MSG. A successful integration of solar energy technologies into the
existing energy structure highly depends on a detailed knowledge
of the solar resource. HELIOSAT-3 will supply high quality solar
radiation data gained from the exploitation of existing Earth observation
technologies and will take advantage of the enhanced capabilities
of the new Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) meteorological satellites.
The expected quality represents a substantial improvement with respect
to the available methods and will better match the needs of the users
of the resulting products. In particular, HELIOSAT-3 will provide
.. solar irradiance data with high accuracy and spacetime resolution
necessary for solar energy applications, plus a large geographical
coverage .. additional solar energy specific data (direct and spectral
irradiance, angular distribution of diffuse irradiance, spatial structure
of irradiance) according to the needs of end-users .. information
on HELIOSAT-3 products, its sustainability as a service and its potential
benefits to end-users. The objectives of the HELIOSAT-3 project will
be achieved by the development and establishment of a new type of
solar irradiance calculation schemes (see chapter 3). This scheme
will be based on satellite retrieved atmospheric data (see chapter

</swrc:abstract><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Cristiano Caltabiano"/></rdf:_1></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2d749c025ee7525645f4ac4a7370cf09f/smicha"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/2d749c025ee7525645f4ac4a7370cf09f/smicha"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#Article"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/B6TVG-4JX3685-2/1/a8602efb0402ef7a3b8c5a451758aa60"/><swrc:date>Tue Apr 22 10:36:30 CEST 2008</swrc:date><swrc:journal>Physica A: Statistical and Theoretical Physics</swrc:journal><swrc:month>Nov</swrc:month><swrc:number>2</swrc:number><swrc:pages>536--542</swrc:pages><swrc:title>A MIMIC approach to modeling the underground economy in Taiwan</swrc:title><swrc:volume>371</swrc:volume><swrc:year>2006</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>UE </swrc:keywords><swrc:day>15</swrc:day><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="David Han-Min Wang"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Jer-Yan Lin"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Tiffany Hui-Kuang Yu"/></rdf:_3></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/25b1e4498c68df26e65296deee4596355/mbinotto"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/25b1e4498c68df26e65296deee4596355/mbinotto"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#Proceedings"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.olmcm.org/dbData/News/Trends_en%5B1%5D.pdf"/><swrc:date>Tue Apr 01 18:32:38 CEST 2008</swrc:date><swrc:title>Trends and Developments on Racism and Xenophobia</swrc:title><swrc:year>2007</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>europa racism rapporto razzismo ue xenophobia </swrc:keywords><swrc:editor><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)"/></rdf:_1></rdf:Seq></swrc:editor></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2d51af112353cbe53633b52733a3757a7/willwade"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/2d51af112353cbe53633b52733a3757a7/willwade"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#Article"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve\&db=pubmed\&dopt=Abstract\&list_uids=12405871"/><swrc:date>Fri Feb 16 15:24:54 CET 2007</swrc:date><swrc:address>Division of Physical Therapy, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Box 356490, University of Washington, Seattle, WA 98195, USA. kwpt@u.washington.edu</swrc:address><swrc:journal>Phys Ther</swrc:journal><swrc:month>November</swrc:month><swrc:number>11</swrc:number><swrc:pages>1064--1076</swrc:pages><swrc:title>The effects of a contoured foam seat on postural alignment and upper-extremity function in infants with neuromotor impairments.</swrc:title><swrc:volume>82</swrc:volume><swrc:year>2002</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>neuromotor ue seat cushion posture infants </swrc:keywords><swrc:abstract>BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Physical therapists and occupational therapists frequently use adaptive seating devices to improve stability in sitting for children with neuromotor impairments. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a contoured foam seat (CFS) on postural alignment and on the ability of infants with neuromotor impairments to engage with toys. Parental perceptions regarding the use and effects of the CFS also were assessed via semistructured interviews. SUBJECTS: Subjects were 4 infants, ages 9 to 18 months, who were unable to sit independently. METHOD: A time-series, alternating-treatments design was used, with data collected under 3 conditions: (1) a regular highchair, (2) a regular highchair with a thin foam liner, and (3) a CFS used as an insert in a regular highchair. The primary dependent measures were postural alignment and engagement with toys. Engagement with toys was defined as percentage of intervals with 2 hands on a toy and percentage of intervals with no hands on a highchair tray and 1 or 2 hands on a toy. RESULTS: Results showed a sustained effect of the CFS on improving postural alignment for all subjects. Effects of the CFS on increasing the number of intervals of bimanual play were not demonstrated for any subjects, although some improvement in the infant's ability to free the arms from support was observed for 2 subjects. Mothers reported acceptability of the CFS for everyday use and described benefits for themselves and their infants. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: The results support the use of a CFS for improving postural alignment. Future research on adaptive seating should focus on interventions and outcomes that help children participate in functional activities relevant to them and their families.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="0031-9023" swrc:key="issn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="2" swrc:key="priority"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="848964" swrc:key="citeulike-article-id"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="K. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION: Sixteen journal articles published after 1980 were identified by searching allied health, medical, and occupational and physical therapy data bases and evidence-based medicine reviews using specific key terms (positioning, wheelchair, postural control, posture, adaptive seating devices, patient positioning, cerebral palsy, movement disorders, upper extremity, reaching, grasping, and occupational therapy) and reviewing bibliographies of retrieved articles. EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS: The majority of the evidence supports the positive effects of a neutral to slightly forward orientation (whole chair tilted) on upper-extremity function. Only one study did not demonstrate such effects. Of the supporting studies, one suggested the addition of an abduction orthrosis (AO), one recommended the entire functional sitting position (FSP) package (this orientation plus a hip-belt, footrests, AO, and cutout tray), and one established the long-term effects of the FSP. One less rigorous study opposed the addition of an AO. With the exception of one study, most of the evidence states that seat angle does not affect functional abilities. However, some of these studies contain faulty methodology and/or their results demonstrate clinical significance. CONCLUSION: Evidence supports that children with CP should be fitted for wheelchairs that place them in a FSP, which includes; orientation in space of 0 degrees -15 degrees, a hip-belt, an AO, footrests, and a cutout tray, with the addition of a sloped forward seat of 0 degrees -15 degrees, to improve upper-extremity function. The exact seat angle and orientation in space within the 0 degrees -15 degrees range should be determined on an individual basis.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="0194-2638" swrc:key="issn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="2" swrc:key="priority"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="936494" swrc:key="citeulike-article-id"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="C.
