and on human health is a prerequisite to the mitigation of such impacts.
Aircraft- and airport-associated vehicular traffic produces noise
and releases combustion products to the atmosphere including substantial
quantities of air toxics. The noise adversely impacts health and
produces annoyance, particularly in residential communities near
large airports. Waste production and runoff at airports contribute
to contamination of soil and water. Deterioration of cabin air quality

The proposed scheme searches for core sets, i.e. groups of nodes that are densely connected to each other by efficiently exploring the two-dimensional core parameter space, and successively expands the identified cores by maximizing a local subgraph quality measure. We evaluate this scheme on three real-world tag networks by assessing the relatedness of same-cluster tags and by using tag clusters for tag recommendation. In addition, we compare our results to the ones derived from a baseline graph-based clustering method and from a popular modularity maximization clustering method.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="Bilbao, Spain" swrc:key="location"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="1881931" swrc:key="acmid"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="3-642-15104-3, 978-3-642-15104-0" swrc:key="isbn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="12" swrc:key="numpages"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Symeon Papadopoulos"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Yiannis Kompatsiaris"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Athena Vakali"/></rdf:_3></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/20f45e870093c053e6f41f54c14bda46b/stumme"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/20f45e870093c053e6f41f54c14bda46b/stumme"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#InProceedings"/><swrc:date>Wed Jan 04 11:35:08 CET 2012</swrc:date><swrc:booktitle>Analysis of Social Media and Ubiquitous Data</swrc:booktitle><swrc:series>LNAI</swrc:series><swrc:title>{Community Assessment using Evidence Networks}</swrc:title><swrc:volume>6904</swrc:volume><swrc:year>2011</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>2011 community itegpub knowledge mining myown </swrc:keywords><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Folke Mitzlaff"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Martin Atzmueller"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Dominik Benz"/></rdf:_3><rdf:_4><swrc:Person swrc:name="Andreas Hotho"/></rdf:_4><rdf:_5><swrc:Person swrc:name="Gerd Stumme"/></rdf:_5></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/225c89c0f9e4149da87e5212dd12481f0/stumme"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/225c89c0f9e4149da87e5212dd12481f0/stumme"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#InProceedings"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.informatik2011.de/541.html"/><swrc:date>Wed Jan 04 11:32:27 CET 2012</swrc:date><swrc:booktitle>Informatik 2011 - Informatik schafft Communities - Proceedings der 41. The problem of detecting and characterizing this community structure is one of the outstanding issues in the study of networked systems. One highly effective approach is the optimization of the quality function known as “modularity” over the possible divisions of a network. Here I show that the modularity can be expressed in terms of the eigenvectors of a characteristic matrix for the network, which I call the modularity matrix, and that this expression leads to a spectral algorithm for community detection that returns results of demonstrably higher quality than competing methods in shorter running times. I illustrate the method with applications to several published network data sets.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="10.1073/pnas.0601602103" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="M. Sixty-four users were asked to assess the quality of five articles from the Hebrew Wikipedia, to indicate the highest- and lowest-quality article of the five and explain their choices. Participants viewed both the article page, and the article’s history page, so that their decision was based both on the article’s current content and on its development. The analysis shows that the attributes that most frequently assisted the users in deciding about the quality of the items were not unique to Wikipedia: attributes such as amount of information, satisfaction with content and external links were mentioned frequently, as with other information quality studies on the web. The findings also support the claim that quality is a subjective concept which depends on the user’s unique point of view. Attributes such as number of edits and number of unique editors received two contradictory meanings – both few edits/editors and many edits/editors were mentioned as attributes of high-quality articles.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="10.1177/0165551511416065" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="http://jis.sagepub.com/content/37/5/487.full.pdf+html" swrc:key="eprint"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Eti Yaari"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Shifra Baruchson-Arbib"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Judit Bar-Ilan"/></rdf:_3></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/293fecd064cd42e0ea5f9dc06a9458d3c/jaeschke"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/293fecd064cd42e0ea5f9dc06a9458d3c/jaeschke"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#InProceedings"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/1216295.1216312"/><swrc:date>Tue Dec 06 11:15:12 CET 2011</swrc:date><swrc:address>New York, NY, USA</swrc:address><swrc:booktitle>Proceedings of the 12th international conference on Intelligent user interfaces</swrc:booktitle><swrc:pages>52--61</swrc:pages><swrc:publisher><swrc:Organization swrc:name="ACM"/></swrc:publisher><swrc:title>Collecting community wisdom: integrating social search \& social navigation</swrc:title><swrc:year>2007</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>community navigation search social </swrc:keywords><swrc:abstract>The goal of this paper is to detail the integration of two "social Web" technologies - social search and social navigation - and to highlight the benefits of such integration on two levels. Firstly, both technologies harvest and harness "community wisdom" and in an integrated system each of the search and navigation components can benefit from the additional community wisdom gathered by the other when assisting users to locate relevant information. Secondly, by integrating search and browsing we facilitate the development of a unique interface that effectively blends search and browsing functionality as part of a seamless social information access service. This service allows users to effectively combine their search and browsing behaviors. In this paper we will argue that this integration provides significantly more than the simple sum of the parts.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="1216312" swrc:key="acmid"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="Honolulu, Hawaii, USA" swrc:key="location"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="1-59593-481-2" swrc:key="isbn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="10" swrc:key="numpages"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="10.1145/1216295.1216312" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Jill Freyne"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Rosta Farzan"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Peter Brusilovsky"/></rdf:_3><rdf:_4><swrc:Person swrc:name="Barry Smyth"/></rdf:_4><rdf:_5><swrc:Person swrc:name="Maurice Coyle"/></rdf:_5></rdf:Seq></swrc:author></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/26812cbb13126989cfe594391131f7c74/macek"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/26812cbb13126989cfe594391131f7c74/macek"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#InProceedings"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://dblp.uni-trier.de/db/conf/www/www2008.html#AdamicZBA08"/><swrc:date>Thu Dec 01 21:00:38 CET 2011</swrc:date><swrc:booktitle>WWW</swrc:booktitle><swrc:crossref>conf/www/2008</swrc:crossref><swrc:pages>665-674</swrc:pages><swrc:publisher><swrc:Organization swrc:name="ACM"/></swrc:publisher><swrc:title>Knowledge sharing and yahoo answers: everyone knows something.</swrc:title><swrc:year>2008</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>Community QA Research SNA </swrc:keywords><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/1367497.1367587" swrc:key="ee"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="978-1-60558-085-2" swrc:key="isbn"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Lada A.
