In this paper, we investigate the integration of a movies folksonomy with a semantic knowledge base about user-movie rentals. The folksonomy is used to enrich the knowledge base with descriptions and categorisations of movie titles, and user interests and opinions. Using tags harvested from the Internet Movie Database, and movie rating data gathered by Netflix, we perform experiments to investigate the question that folksonomy-generated movie tag-clouds can be used to construct better user profiles that reflect a user’s level of interest in different kinds of movies, and therefore, provide a basis for prediction of their rating for a previously unseen movie.</swrc:abstract><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Martin Szomszor"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Ciro Cattuto"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Harith Alani"/></rdf:_3><rdf:_4><swrc:Person swrc:name="Kieron O'Hara"/></rdf:_4><rdf:_5><swrc:Person swrc:name="Andrea Baldassarri"/></rdf:_5><rdf:_6><swrc:Person swrc:name="Vittorio Loreto"/></rdf:_6><rdf:_7><swrc:Person swrc:name="Vito D.P. We designed and implemented a process to normalize documents to RDF format, extract document topics using Web 2.0 services and finally match extracted topics to a Semantic Web ontology. Due to ConTag we are able to show that the information provided by Web 2.0 services in combination with a Semantic Web ontology enables the generation of relevant semantic tag recommendations for documents. The main contribution of this work is a semantic tag recommendation process based on a choreography of Web 2.0 services.</swrc:abstract><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="2007.09.12" swrc:key="timestamp"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="adrian+2007a.pdf" swrc:key="pdf"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="sauermann" swrc:key="owner"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:Field swrc:value="ISSN 0948-6968" swrc:key="doi"/></swrc:hasExtraField><swrc:author><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Benjamin Adrian"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Leo Sauermann"/></rdf:_2><rdf:_3><swrc:Person swrc:name="Thomas Roth-Berghofer"/></rdf:_3></rdf:Seq></swrc:author><swrc:editor><rdf:Seq><rdf:_1><swrc:Person swrc:name="Tassilo Pellegrini"/></rdf:_1><rdf:_2><swrc:Person swrc:name="Sebastian Schaffert"/></rdf:_2></rdf:Seq></swrc:editor></rdf:Description><rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/208ed8fb18d3b899aa555ba5028287c4f/cschenk"><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.bibsonomy.org/uri/bibtex/208ed8fb18d3b899aa555ba5028287c4f/cschenk"/><rdf:type rdf:resource="http://swrc.ontoware.org/ontology#InProceedings"/><owl:sameAs rdf:resource="http://www.dfki.uni-kl.de/~sauermann/papers/groza+2007a.pdf"/><swrc:date>Thu May 22 20:04:32 CEST 2008</swrc:date><swrc:booktitle>Proceedings of I-Semantics' 07</swrc:booktitle><swrc:pages>pp. 201-211</swrc:pages><swrc:publisher><swrc:Organization swrc:name="JUCS"/></swrc:publisher><swrc:title>The NEPOMUK Project - On the way to the Social Semantic Desktop</swrc:title><swrc:year>2007</swrc:year><swrc:keywords>desktop nepomuk paper project read:2008 semantic social </swrc:keywords><swrc:abstract>This paper introduces the NEPOMUK pro ject which aims to create a standard and reference implementation for the Social Semantic Desktop.
