Kids definitely need health insurance. It is so important because they are still growing. And they are in contact with many other kids in school. That puts them at risk for contracting all sorts of illnesses. You don't want to be in the position of needing your child to be looked at by a doctor and not having anyplace to go because you can't afford it.
