Marginalia is an open source Javascript web annotation system that allows users of Moodle or other web applications to highlight text and write margin notes. The software works in major browsers including Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Lily is a Firefox add-on that allows users to create rich, complex applications in a web browser. With Lily it's possible to make programs that mashup the web or the desktop, visualize and animate data, modify webpages, play music, or connect to world outside the computer.

JS Bin is a webapp specifically designed to help JavaScript and CSS folk test snippets of code, within some context, and debug the code collaboratively. JS Bin allows you to edit and test JavaScript and HTML (reloading the URL also maintains the state of your code - new tabs doesn't). Once you're happy you can save, and send the URL to a peer for review or help. They can then make further changes saving anew if required.

Adobe Air is a framework which allows building desktop applications. Adobe Air applications are based on two technologies: Html/Js and Flash. Developers can choose to build desktop application via Html/Js, Flash or Flex. After a brief overview of the architecture, we will build a simple application using Html/Js.
