We apply the EulerView concept to the use of urls, constructing eli.icio.us which is a tool that realizes the EulerView concept and integrates it with del.icio.us. Currently, in del.icio.us, users can tag urls and browse for similar urls and the results can be displayed via an alphabetically sorted tag cloud. In order to assess browser-based application platforms, we provide a systematic comparison of server-based rendering, Java applets, Flash, and Silverlight from several points of view. We aim to aid InfoVis developers in choosing the appropriate technology for their needs.
