Stim mimicking burst (4 pulses @ 15 Hz) enh...D2 presynaptic autoinhibiton. stimulated MFB, evoked DA relase. 100 Hz stim linearly inhibited further release. Stim mimicking burst (4 pulses @ 15 Hz) enhanced extracellular DA and inhibited further release, this autoinhibition was maximal between 150-300 ms and disappeared within 600 ms. -->autoinhibition elicited by one burst transiently attenuates further dopamine release elicited by tonic activity.. haldol should block this effect!
