Linked Data is about using the Web to connect related data that wasn't previously linked, or using the Web to lower the barriers to linking data currently linked using other methods. More specifically, Wikipedia defines Linked Data as "a term used to describe a recommended best practice for exposing, sharing, and connecting pieces of data, information, and knowledge on the Semantic Web using URIs and RDF."

Xsearch is a LIBRIS exclusive lightweight API. With Xsearch, it is possible to retrieve records from LIBRIS in a number of different formats. The Xsearch API is based on http calls that return either XML or text, depending on the chosen format. All formats are encoded in UTF-8. The basic URL for Xsearch is http://libris.kb.se/xsearch, to which the following parameters can be added.

Use this demo to validate small snippets of RDF/XML or Notation 3 (including N-Triples and Turtle). The data will be converted and outputted in the other format.

SchemaWeb is a directory of RDF schemas expressed in the RDFS, OWL and DAML+OIL schema languages. SchemaWeb is a place for developers and designers working with RDF. It provides a comprehensive directory of RDF schemas to be browsed and searched by human agents and also an extensive set of web services to be used by software agents that wish to obtain real-time schema information whilst processing RDF data. RDF Schemas are the critical layer of the Semantic Web. They provide the semantic linkage that 'intelligent' software needs to extract value giving information from the raw data defined by RDF triples.

As the semantic web grows, there is the need for more and more formal ontology definitions in standard languages such as the Web Ontology Language (OWL) of the World Wide Web Consortium. With that said, there are numerous projects that predate OWL that can serve as useful foundations. One such project is bibTeX, a method of marking up bibliographic data, primarily for use in LaTeX documents, but also useful for generic bibliographic storage. This document describes bibTeX recast in OWL for use in RDF applications.

Amaya is a Web editor, i.e. a tool used to create and update documents directly on the Web. Browsing features are seamlessly integrated with the editing and remote access features in a uniform environment. This follows the original vision of the Web as a space for collaboration and not just a one-way publishing medium.
