The Open Library Books API provides a programmatic client-side method for querying information of books using Javascript. This API is inspired by the Google Books Dynamic links API and is compatible with it.

hOCR is a format for representing OCR output, including layout information, character confidences, bounding boxes, and style information. It embeds this information invisibly in standard HTML.
