Regulations in force in Poland and procedures applied in this field are presented. The effect of buildings on the distribution of the electric field around the line and the admissible field strength values as well as the required spacing of buildings from the line, are taken into consideration. The effect of buildings on the level of radio interference as well as the method of determining the spacing of buildings from the line, admissible from the aspect of the quality of radio reception are presented.
