This study is focused on solar tracking systems. A computing programme
has been worked out in order to set out solar geometry parameters
and calculate the yearly energy collection allowed by different types
of solar trackers at different latitudes. An analysis of the obtained
results is proposed. Validation against a measured values database
of a real installation shows the reliability of the developed programme.
The compiled programme can become a useful tool in grid-connected
PV systems design.
