Mobile adhoc networks suffer for lack of security because of its mobility of the nodes and the network is
vulnerable to most of the intrusion behaviour. In this paper we analyze one of the most vulnerable
behaviours known as Sinkhole behaviour. We designed architecture to effectively analyze this attack on
MANET. We consider various performance metrics and attributes to understand the behaviour of this
attack. From the results we can understand that this attack causes damage to the communication of
Manet’s.We have evaluated our results using ns-2.
