Abstract
The article compares a wide-open wireless network using Public Internet Protocol open source software created by Andrew Mutch for the Waterford Township Public Library with an authentication-required wireless network using the Smart Access Manager Wireless Manager created by Karen Ventura for the Novi Public Library. Specifications and components of the different technologies used to meet the needs of two different libraries are cited.
