Electronic Government: An Evaluation Of The Legislative Assembly�S Website

Abstract
The work has based on a review of literature about Electronic Government
theme and an evaluation of Legislative Assembly's web site as a public
services provider and information disseminator. This paper intend
to check if it has been worked with internet potential, or if it
has been used as a true information system making a viable execution
of the interactive service, promoting the change and share of the
information. Three dimensions are analyzed to promote the evaluation
of Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais website: the content (the
strongest point), the utilization and the operation. The results
allows we conclude that the website analyzed includes one or more
information devices that provides access of a varied of different
types of the knowledge related with state government with the purpose
to deliver the information to citizen. It can also be considered
as an information system. We deduce that the Electronic Government
website for public service need to be established as a citizen service
instrument, that fortifies the democratic life
