Abstract

ln reference to the Grizzly Research company's research that appeared in the last few days, in which they have compiled an in-depth examination regarding the Temu Android app, which appears to be a fictitious application with real criminal intentions: to steal users' data in order to resell it; only in this way, according to Grizzly Research's hypothesis, could the Chinese Pinduoduo (PDD) company, which released the app and controls the distribution, recover the money lost from selling items at such a bargain price, I have personally found that the security repercussions are far more serious than what has publicly emerged so far. The motivation may lie precisely in the resentment that has probably crystallized in Colin Huang's opinion of the West since he retired from Google in 2017, after numerous trips made in a fruitless effort to bring bis expertise, through precise directions especially in the Chinese version of the search engine's interface, perhaps not taken in consideration enough. Just since then, Huang began working on the project related to his own digital platform, up to Temu's predecessor, the Pinduoduo app, not surprisingly perhaps already banned from Google Play Store due to behavior that aroused suspicion through heuristics.
