Abstract

Interactive Multimedia Computing examines the use of audio, video, graphics, and animation in computer systems, specifically in the design and construction of the computer-human interface. Multimedia extensions to current computer systems allow us to employ our senses in new ways when interacting with the computer. In addressing issues around the introduction of multimedia into the user interface, and in describing research at the forefront of user interface technology, this collected work will appeal to a wide range of computer users, programmers, and researchers.
