Abstract

Using two parallel samples we investigated whether siblings of children suffering from cerebral palsy are psychologically less well than control siblings of healthy children. Analyses of data from psychometric tests and interviews suggest that this globally is the case. However, differences were less prominent in single variables. Pattern scaling that is, the cross-classification of patterns is proposed as a new technique of Configural Frequency Analysis suitable for clinical applications with a, relative to the number of individuals, large number of variables.
