Cashless Transaction the Move towards Green Economy

Abstract

India is one of the fastest growing economy in the world with 6.1 percentage in 2019 and the 5th largest economy in terms of Nominal GDP. India is also a youngest country of the world with the average age of Indian is 27 years and due to this the industries are growing very high in India which lead’s more carbon emission and less greenery and taking this all in to the consideration India need to take some step to promote greenery and sustainable development even into economy. Keeping this in mind the Indian government is promoting Cashless Economy. The digital or cashless transactions has been started in India early 21st century with the launch on RTGS, NEFT, online banking. But it has been started being popular when E commerce and the Digital wallet is introduced among Elite Youth. On 8th of November 2016 the government of India has introduced Demonetisation on Old Indian currency of Rs.500 and 1000 Rupee Bank Note which boost cashless transaction in India. Initially there is lot of confusion about digital transaction benefits and drawbacks.
