Basing themselves on the observations carried out at chosen stands during several years, they point out that, in several fields, the rules for designing the overhead electric lines should also imply assumptions which would fully respect the simultaneous action of icing and wind. The report also includes the examination of the existing HV transmission towers with regard to their combined stress, and the demarcation of security and reliability zones.
