It is difficult to evaluate objectively because cerebral palsy is not a single disease entity and the clinical syndrome may vary over time. Tests of neurophysiological function, signs of spasticity, and tests of motor function have documented changes, but double-blind evaluations have not. These studies are reviewed, as are the inherent problems in cerebellar stimulation and the physiology of cerebral palsy.
