The goal of this research is to develop and propose a new hybrid KOS model as an information service tool for future digital libraries (DLs) and Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs). This model makes use of concept map that can help users to visualize the communities and its relationships. It represents a new form of information visualization by using appropriate tool along with DSpace and thus to a new approach of the application of human-computer interaction (HCI) research in web-based information retrieval (IR).
