This paper introduces an improved algorithm that uses pixel value indicator technique for the concealment of the secret message in most significant bits (MSBs) of the cover image. Here, Green channel serves as a pixel value indicator for hiding the secret message in 5th and 6th bits of Blue channel or Red channel of RGB cover image. If Green channel has even number of 1's, Blue channel is used for embedding the secret message otherwise Red channel is used for the embedding process. The experimental results of the proposed method are obtained using MATLAB R2017a. The experimental results obtained show that the stego-image formed is of great quality having high PSNR value and it provides good security and in distinguishability.
