Abstract
The article focuses on some medieval commentaries regarding
the participation of prophets Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi in the
composition of genealogical tables of the book of Chronicles. It cites the
contention of Judah Ibn Quraysh that the chronologies are copied from the
royal records containing the said information. It emphasizes the thesis of
a Sa'adiah student that focuses on the involvement of Ezra in the
Chronicles and exposes the contribution of the three prophets.
