The study found that:
* 60 percent of CIOs surveyed say they are working to adopt an information management strategy to gain competitive advantage.
* 75 percent of CIOs surveyed expect to have an information management strategy in place within three years. Data analytics will be an area of particular focus.
* Integrating all types of data is a goal for most companies. While only 38 percent of respondents say they are partially integrated now, 75 percent list integration as their target.

Die Frage nach der Wirtschaftlichkeit von IT-Projekten kann heute eindeutig beantwortet werden: Nicht die IT selbst, sondern der Nutzen in den Prozessen führt zu einem Kapitalrückfluss im Unternehmen. Aber nur wenn Fachbereich und IT-Abteilung ihre Gräben überwinden, haben Investitionen Erfolg.
Studie zur Komplexität in IT-Projekten. Das Ergebnis ist pessimistisch: Hauptsächlich sehen Unternehmen mit steigender Komplexität ein überproportionales Wachstum der Risiken. Gleichzeitig haben CIOs das Gefühl steigender Komplexität bei dafür nicht ausreichenden Tools.
