JStar is a new declarative programming language that supports automatic parallelization for manycore and cluster computers. This page describes our current research on JStar and gives suggestions for PhD and Masters thesis topics.
Throughout this document 6 problems have been picked as possible candidates for the application of either Expert Systems, Neural Networks or Genetic Algorithms. For each, the problem is detailed and an acceptable solution is suggested. In addition, the knowledge required is discussed and the most appropriate technique is suggested with reasons why.
