SUFARI stands for Substance Use Frequency, Amount, Risk Identification and was developed by a multidisciplinary group of clinicians from adult mental health community and inpatient settings as well as service users and staff who lead in dual diagnosis across our Trust. The project began in 2015 as a substance use screening tool for mental health services, and was used to update our dual diagnosis tool across the Trust to promote better care for mental health patients who use alcohol or drugs.
