Brain injury may increase dementia risk - NHS.UK


Description

Overall, researchers found brain injury is associated with a 24% increased risk of dementia. The most important thing to realise, though, is that the absolute risks of developing dementia are still fairly small: 4.5% of people with no history of a TBI developed dementia, compared with 5.1% who had a TBI.
