One of the apps featured recently as Francis Costello Library's "App of the week" was the Active 10 app by Public Health England. The app encourages everyone to fit in a minimum of 10 minutes exercise a day. If you carry your phone around you can see how many minutes walking you do each day and how many of those were brisk. A brisk 10 minute walk every day can make a difference to your health. Each 10 minute burst of exercise is known as an “Active 10”.
