Open Design Alliance (ODA) — a member-driven, nonprofit organization of over 1,000 software developers in 40 countries — develops the Teigha® software development platform for CAD and other technical graphics applications.
ODA members obtain the Teigha software development platform for an annual membership fee. Combined with the ODA’s relationships with well-known third party component vendors, ODA members are able to quickly design, build, and deliver technical applications for their customers.
The Teigha software development platform is available on a large number of operating systems such as Microsoft® Windows®, Apple® Mac OS®, various Unix systems, and Linux. ODA members can use the C++, .NET, and ActiveX interfaces to develop their own applications. Teigha is able to exchange data through .dwg, .dgn, .stl and .pdf files.
Eclipse Icon Archive Tool
The Eclipse Icon Archive Tool allows an Eclipse user to browse and export icons from the Eclipse Project. Download the plug-in and place it into the Eclipse plug-in directory. The plug-in and documentation is available on the download page.
Gimphoto is GIMP modification with new menu layout, great selection of plugins, and many additional resources for more professional look and feel as digital photo retouching and image editing application package.
GPS is a collection of brushes and accompanying tool presets. Tool presets are a simply saved tool options, highly useful feature of the GIMP.
The goal of GPS is to provide an adequate working environment for graphic designers and artists to begin to paint and feel comfortable with GIMP from their first use. Later the user will change these settings based on his own workflow preferences and understanding of GIMP.
The combined brushes and presets can be used for many different tasks, including:
* Painting
* Erasing
* Blurring
* Airbrushing
* Inking
* Special Effects
FotoSketcher is a 100% free program which can help you convert your digital photos into art, automatically. If you want to turn a portrait, the photograph of your house or a beautiful landscape into a painting, a sketch or a drawing then look no further, FotoSketcher will do the job in just a few seconds.
DrawPile is a sketching oriented drawing program with a twist: you can share your drawing live with other users. There are no restrictions on who may draw where; every user has full access to the whole picture simultaneously.
Livebrush is a drawing application. It employs an easy-to-use brush tool that reacts to your gesture. By combining simple motion controls with brush styles, Livebrush offers a fun and unique way to create graphics.
SmillaEnlarger is a small graphical tool ( based on Qt ) to resize, especially magnify bitmaps in high quality. ( The used algorithm is an invention of my own )
FUBAR uses the statistical technique "Kriging" to rescale images with an global geometric pattern, called the variogram.
The image can be infinitely rescaled: the estimates ('o' on the left figure) are calculated from five neighbouring samples of the source image ('+' on the left figure). The image is 'noisy' because each pixel is a realization of the estimated value. In other words, each pixel is a random value with a mean and a variance from the local distribution. By changing the variogram (press 'v') or the variance multiplier, it is possible to control that variance.
Clicking the left mouse button zooms in on the image and right-click zooms the image back out. Press SPACEBAR to accept the current realization as the 'source image' -this will reduce noise at small scales.
BallDroppings is an addicting and noisy play-toy. It can also be seen as an emergence game. Alternatively this software can be taken seriously as an audio-visual performance instrument. Balls fall from the top of the screen and bounce off the lines you are drawing with the mouse. The balls make a percussive and melodic sound, whose pitch depends on how fast the ball is moving when it hits the line. This delightful application allows experimentation with sound and vision which will compound and intrigue you. Whether you are an adult or child, scientific brainbox or avid gamer. It doesn't have a plot, no heroine, no villain. It has no guns or alien beings. It is simply time to get creative, and those who are creative will love this.
This Pure-Java library reads & writes a variety of image formats, including fast parsing of image info (size, color space, icc profile, etc.) and metadata.
This library is pure Java. It's slow, consequently, but perfectly portable. It's easier to use than ImageIO/JAI/Toolkit (Sun/Java's image support), supports more formats (and supports them more correctly). It also provides easy access to metadata.
Although not yet version 1.0, sanselan is working and is used by a number of projects in production.
The JIT is an advanced JavaScript infovis toolkit based on 5 papers about different information visualization techniques.
The JIT implements advanced features of information visualization like Treemaps (with the slice and dice and squarified methods), an adapted visualization of trees based on the Spacetree, a focus+context technique to plot Hyperbolic Trees, and a radial layout of trees with advanced animations (RGraph).
Pngcrush is an optimizer for PNG (Portable Network Graphics) files. It can be run from a commandline in an MSDOS window, or from a UNIX or LINUX commandline.
Its main purpose is to reduce the size of the PNG IDAT datastream by trying various compression levels an PNG filter methods. It also can be used to remove unwanted ancillary chunks, or to add certain chunks including gAMA, tRNS, iCCP, and textual chunks.
Espresso3D is a high performance real-time 3D engine for the Java(tm) programming language. E3D is not just a scene graph. It aims to be a complete solution for your application with OpenGL rendering, OpenAL audio, collision detection, input, and rendering support.
Espresso3D began as a free for non-commercial use library in October 2004. As of April 8, 2008 Espresso3D is available under the open source LGPL license.
