Esta cartilha foi escrita para atender à necessidade de replanejar atividades acadêmicas presenciais e adaptá-las para ambientes não presenciais. Esta mudança
envolve o uso de soluções e práticas totalmente remotas de ensino e de aprendizagem.
Sob o ponto de vista didático, esta reconfiguração não se enquadra no modelo da Educação a Distância: é uma alteração excepcional e temporária nos currículos,
composta por atividades no Ambiente Virtual de Ensino e Aprendizagem da UFSC, a plataforma Moodle, a fim de desenvolver habilidades e competências dos estudantes.
Nesse cenário, as tecnologias de comunicação e informação devem ser efetivamente utilizadas como recursos de aprendizagem, a critério dos docentes e dos
colegiados dos departamentos, para que os estudantes tenham acesso a diversas informações e espaços de socialização, gerando saberes e conhecimentos científicos.

Os Recursos Educacionais Abertos (REA) são o vórtice do movimento universal em prol do direito de todos à educação, da democratização do acesso ao conhecimento, da produção de modos de vida mais equitativos e saudáveis. REA sustentam Práticas Educacionais Abertas (PEA) fundamentadas em princípios como colaboração em rede, coautoria, revisão entre pares, interatividade e interação social. REA são, portanto, alicerce de PEA, compreendidas como essenciais para aprendizagem ao longo de toda a vida, tanto em processos formais quanto informais. Sob os auspícios do quarto Objetivo de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), o e-book Fluência Tecnológico-Pedagógica (FTP) em Recursos Educacionais Abertos (REA) é uma obra dentre as várias iniciativas para “assegurar a educação inclusiva e equitativa e de qualidade, e promover oportunidades de aprendizagem ao longo da vida para todos”.
