As part of NHS England’s New Models of Care programme, West London Mental Health NHS Trust has launched, in partnership with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, their programme to provide better integrated care and treatment for children and young people living in North West London and experiencing a mental health crisis.

A New Models of Care pilot project in CAMHS has launched.
Funded by NHS England the project will be led by West London Mental Health NHS Trust (WLMHT) working in partnership with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). The pilot will trial new ways of managing the pathway to Tier 4 inpatient admissions for North West London’s children and young people.
‘Support from the Start: Commissioning for early intervention in mental ill health’ showcases four projects where CCGs and their partners are tackling the challenge of early intervention and draws out tips from the commissioners and practitioners involved in their development and delivery.
A new partnership of healthcare providers, including AWP, has been selected as the preferred bidder to deliver community health services for children and young people. The services will run in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset and are due to begin in April 2017.
The services will include health visiting, school nursing, child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS), speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, community paediatricians, community nursing and a range of dedicated services for vulnerable children including children in care, children with learning disabilities, children with life limiting conditions and children with drug and alcohol problems.
