Times Higher Education Supplement (2005)

The article reports on the screening of the quality of education at private universities in Sri Lanka due to concerns about substandard courses. 30 British education institutes are operating in the country without accreditation from the University Grants Commission (UGC). According to UGC chairman Ranjith Mendis, the commission would not recognise their degrees if they do not secure accreditation. Only 32 students out of 153 has completed their master of business administration degree at the Business Management School.
