The basic disadvantage of HE is it changes the brightness of the image. In order to overcome this drawback, various HE methods have been proposed. These methods preserves the brightness on the output image but, does not have a natural look. In order to overcome this problem the, present paper uses Multi-HE methods, which decompose the image into several sub images, and classical HE method is applied to each sub image. The algorithm is applied on various images and has been analysed using both objective and subjective assessment.
