Abstract

In thermodynamics the macroscopic qualities of systems can be describedcompletely by canonical equations. To derive all optional thermodynamic properties from such equations and to make use of their advantages suitable regulations are required. The most significant of them were given for eight important types of canonical equations of state. Additionally a universal method for gaining canonical equations of arbitrary types was described. It was used to develop systems of equations which largely fit to the needs of technical calculations. The most interesting regions of water and steam, air and helium were reproduced. It is of special importance, that the properties of these fluids could be given as a function of pressure and temperature. The accuracy of the novel systems is very satisfactory. This is proved by detailed investigations.
