Abstract

The article reports on a new survey which offers a limited look at pay scales in for-profit higher education. In an apparent first, the for-profit higher-education industry has begun collecting data on the salaries of its college administrators. At the Career College Association's annual meeting, it released some of the initial findings with some strong caveats. The collection of salary data is being done by the Career College Foundation, a philanthropic offshoot of the association. The foundation provides scholarships to students who attend member colleges, but now, said Robert L. Martin, its executive director, it wants to do more to help members better manage their colleges.
